Santiago Morones vs Joaquin Quijas

Boxing Daily Report from the Ondoa Promotions promoted show at Montevideo Sabina, Montevideo,  taking place on 02/03/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Morones (13 - 2(1) - 2) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Joaquin Quijas(8 - 9) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Morones and Quijas weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Roman Bilbao, and the three ringside judges are Javier Casto, Hilario Mazariegos and Rico Rogero.  

Round 1: 

Morones gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

As Morones tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Quijas dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Quijas.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
