David Rodie vs Ashley Prior

Boxing Daily Report from the Ace Boxing promoted show at Opryland Delta Ballroom, Nashville,  taking place on 10/03/2025:

Clearly Ace Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Deep South Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are David Rodie (8 - 3) who hails from Louisville, USA and Ashley Prior(14 - 3 - 4) from Lexington, USA.  Rodie weighed in at 200 pounds, while Prior weighed in at 199 pounds and 9 ounces.  
The referee tonight is John Cranston, and the three ringside judges are Robert Davidson, Kris Breck and John Cranston.  

Round 1: 

Rodie lands a left uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Rodie gets on the inside.  Prior throws a right hook, but Rodie clinches his opponent.  Rodie is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Rodie lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Rodie sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Prior lands a jab followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Prior throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid cross.  
Rodie is looking to close the distance and is on target with a sharp left uppercut.  Rodie clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Rodie pushes his forearm into Prior's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rodie about fouling.  
Rodie lands a right hook.  
Rodie walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Rodie digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rodie lands a left uppercut.  
Rodie hits home with a right hook.  
Prior hits home with a right hook.  
Rodie walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Rodie throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the punch.  Rodie ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Prior pushes his forearm into Rodie's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Prior about fouling.  
Rodie is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Prior is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.  
Rodie lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Rodie is on target with a right hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Prior has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused a slight cut above.  
Rodie pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a jab.

Rodie throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Rodie to stop fouling.
