Godfrey Iyke vs Julius Ihekwoaba

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Abia State promoted show at Theophilus Tochukwu Gym, Aba,  taking place on 05/03/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Abia State Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Godfrey Iyke (10 - 5 - 4) who hails from Umuahia, Nigeria and Julius Ihekwoaba(10 - 0) from Aba, Nigeria.  Both Iyke and Ihekwoaba weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yakubu Egbedi, and the three ringside judges are Bature Adelakun, Nwankwo Nwoke and Ali Sharaf.  

Round 1: 

Ihekwoaba advances into close range.  Ihekwoaba pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.
