Wu-pen Bao vs Xiaoping Niu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Fujian promoted show at Ho Ko Gym, Xiamen,  taking place on 09/03/2025:

Clearly AI China-Fujian have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the China-Fujian Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Wu-pen Bao (5(2) - 0 - 1(NC)) who hails from Fuzhou, China and Xiaoping Niu(5 - 7 - 1) from Fuzhou, China.  Bao weighed in at 126 pounds, while Niu weighed in at 125 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Huang-fu Shu, and the three ringside judges are Shing Boh, Shing Zhao and Confucius Tsen.  

Round 1: 

Niu steps inside.  Bao lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Niu quickly recovers. 
Bao quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bao is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Bao clinches his opponent.  Bao is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Bao's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bao drives a firm right hook into Niu's body.  
Bao lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Bao lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Bao clinches his opponent.  Bao pushes his forearm into Niu's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bao lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Bao holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Bao pushes his forearm into Niu's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Bao to stop fouling.  
Bao knows Niu is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Bao lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES NIU!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  It looks like Niu has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Bao pivots to the side of his opponent.  Niu throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bao pivots to the right of his opponent.  Niu tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Niu's body.  
Bao connects with a left hook.  Bao clinches his opponent.  Bao uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Niu behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bao.  
Bao is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Bao advances into close range and drives a stinging left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Bao is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Bao lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Bao is on target with a firm left hook to Niu's body.  Bao ties up his opponent.  Bao is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Bao's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Niu quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Bao lands two straights to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Niu quickly recovers. 
Niu advances into close range.  Bao whips in a hurtful right hook to Niu's body.  NIU IS HURT!  
Bao stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Bao lands a left hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  It looks like Niu has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Niu steps inside.  Bao drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Bao lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bao holds on to his opponent.  Bao leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Bao's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Niu's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Niu's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Bao crashes a mean left hook to Niu's body.  NIU IS HURT!  
Bao thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Niu away.  Bao lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND NIU IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Bao closes the distance.  Bao digs in a telling right hook to Niu's ribs.  NIU IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Bao!
