Cole Prentice vs Jamie Sherer

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Illinois promoted show at Aragon Ballroom, Chicago,  taking place on 26/03/2025:

Clearly AI USA-Illinois have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a tournament fight from USA-Illinois Super B.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cole Prentice (8 - 5(1) - 4) who hails from Chicago, USA and Jamie Sherer(3 - 5 - 4) from Chicago, USA.  Both Prentice and Sherer weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Madoc, and the three ringside judges are Amon Watters, Nicholas Bald and Dan Leamon.  

Round 1: 

Prentice quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sherer hits home with a left hook.  
Prentice steps away from his opponent and drives a cross into Sherer's body.  
Prentice steps inside.  Prentice sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Sherer hits home with a right uppercut.

Prentice steps to the outside and throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.

Sherer steps inside.  Prentice voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Sherer accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Prentice.
