Sammy Brand vs Germain Baxa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Haiti-Ouest promoted show at Port-au-Prince Seyrig, Port-au-Prince,  taking place on 21/03/2025:

Clearly AI Haiti-Ouest have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Sammy Brand (0 - 0) who hails from Detroit, USA and Germain Baxa(0 - 1) from Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  Both Brand and Baxa weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Platt Claudel, and the three ringside judges are Jeremie Phillippe, Bassett Cantona and Vail Marot.

Baxa steps to the outside.  Baxa feints a jab, but Brand ignores the feint and lands with a solid cross.  
Brand manouvers Baxa into a neutral corner.  Brand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Brand gets on the inside.  Brand sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Baxa tries to step out of his opponents range.  Brand finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Brand steps inside.  Baxa sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Brand lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Brand closes the distance.  Baxa tries to land a left hook, but Brand slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Brand feints a cross, but Baxa is not fooled and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Brand sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  As Baxa tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Brand dabs at his face checking for damage.

Brand steps inside.  Brand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Brand lands a solid jab.  
Baxa closes the distance.  Brand hits home with a sharp left uppercut.

Brand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Brand advances into close range.  Baxa throws a right uppercut, but Brand holds on to his opponent.  Brand is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Brand about fouling.
