Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 03/03/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rex Makwarimba (7 - 0) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Rich Van der Byl(8 - 6 - 3) from Soweto, South Africa.  Makwarimba weighed in at 130 pounds, while Van der Byl weighed in at 129 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Uba Akamenya, and the three ringside judges are Lisimba Jali, Zachary Du Toit and Peter Mbalula.
