Fisnik Mahomet vs Barry McCaig

Boxing Daily Report from the RJM Boxing promoted show at Oxnard Performing Arts Center, Oxnard,  taking place on 21/03/2025:

Clearly RJM Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Fisnik Mahomet (4 - 0) who hails from Tirana, Albania and Barry McCaig(2 - 4) from New York City, USA.  Both Mahomet and McCaig weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Zafa Rafiq, and the three ringside judges are Oscar Hall, Bruce Carra and Paul Snedden.  

Round 1: 

Mahomet feints a cross, and then is on target with a stinging jab.  
Mahomet connects with a right uppercut.  
McCaig gets on the inside.  Mahomet is on target with a right hook.  
Mahomet is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a solid jab.  
McCaig closes the distance.  Mahomet pivots to the left of his opponent.  McCaig attempts to land a left hook, but Mahomet sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mahomet's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  McCaig's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Mahomet throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to Mahomet's body.
