Afanas Karaev vs Kamran Nishtar

Boxing Daily Report from the Match Em Up Promotions promoted show at Valeh Niazi Gym, Samarqand,  taking place on 07/03/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Afanas Karaev (2 - 0) who hails from Toshkent, Uzbekistan and Kamran Nishtar(8 - 1 - 1) from Tehran, Iran.  Both Karaev and Nishtar weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Andrii Ghailauoff, and the three ringside judges are Sergey Sadygov, Borya Dzhebrailov and Mikhail Valihanow.  

Round 1: 

Karaev closes the distance.  Karaev sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  As Nishtar tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Karaev dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Karaev pivots to the side of his opponent.  Nishtar throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Karaev advances into close range.  Karaev backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Nishtar steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Nishtar tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a cross, but Karaev sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Nishtar hits home with a cross.  
Karaev is looking to keep his distance and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Nishtar is on target with a left hook.  
Karaev finds the target with a jab.  
Karaev lands a right uppercut.  
Nishtar steps away from his opponent and is on target with an overhand left.  
Karaev is on target with a right uppercut.  
Nishtar tries to land a jab, but Karaev dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Karaev steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.
