Siyabonga Sono vs John Tshimpanzu

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-KwaZulu-Natal promoted show at Umlazi Malherbe, Umlazi,  taking place on 01/04/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Siyabonga Sono (11 - 3) who hails from Durban, South Africa and John Tshimpanzu(6 - 6 - 1) from Umlazi, South Africa.  Sono weighed in at 239 pounds and 1 ounces, while Tshimpanzu weighed in at 239 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Corey Nzimande, and the three ringside judges are Cody Fuani, Lehlohonolo Cardoso and Kasi Mogoeng.
