Dai Nabudere vs Jamie Mwenda

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Uganda-Kampala District promoted show at YMCA Ground, Kampala,  taking place on 02/04/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uganda Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dai Nabudere (13(5) - 3(1)) who hails from Gulu, Uganda and Jamie Mwenda(10 - 0) from Kampala, Uganda.  Both Nabudere and Mwenda weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Salim Kalemazikusoka, and the three ringside judges are Jay Mwesige, Ian Magunda and Rob Kaana.  

Round 1: 

Nabudere lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Mwenda throws a left hook, but Nabudere clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Mwenda pushes his forearm into Nabudere's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Nabudere is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.
