Usi Nkomo vs Phil Mnkandla

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Harare Kapinda, Harare,  taking place on 03/04/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Usi Nkomo (7 - 8) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Phil Mnkandla(6 - 9 - 3) from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.  Both Nkomo and Mnkandla weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Michael Mangwende, and the three ringside judges are Jack Feamster, Kyle Bulawayo and Chris Tholet.  

Round 1: 

Nkomo is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.
