Shinji Kato vs Fumio Nakayama

Boxing Daily Report from the Shungwa Promotions promoted show at Mitsui Garden Center Kashiwa-no-ha, Kashiwa,  taking place on 15/04/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Japan-Chiba Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Shinji Kato (13 - 2) who hails from Funabashi, Japan and Fumio Nakayama(6 - 8) from Chiba, Japan.  Kato weighed in at 122 pounds, while Nakayama weighed in at 121 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kazuki Sanda, and the three ringside judges are Fumio Hirano, Ichiro Tsukamoto and Takeshi Shimomura.  

Round 1: 

Nakayama quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kato finds the target with a jab.
