Xayvion Shimpande vs Alec Matonka

Boxing Daily Report from the Kit Henderson promoted show at Edwin Imboela Stadium, Lusaka,  taking place on 09/04/2025:

Clearly Kit Henderson have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Zambia-Lusaka Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Xayvion Shimpande (7 - 6 - 3) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Alec Matonka(15 - 3) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Shimpande weighed in at 140 pounds, while Matonka weighed in at 139 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Makalo Mwala, and the three ringside judges are Kyrone Chibiya, Vashon Kalunga and Makalo Mwala.  

Round 1: 

Matonka closes the distance and hits home with a left hook.
