Waqas Saif vs Ruslan Hussain

Boxing Daily Report from the UAE Boxing promoted show at Butu Palace, Baku,  taking place on 22/03/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Waqas Saif (1 - 0) who hails from Dubai, UAE and Ruslan Hussain(1 - 11 - 4) from Baku, Azerbaijan.  Saif weighed in at 146 pounds And 15 ounces, while Hussain weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vahid Jamal, and the three ringside judges are Aghasafa Abdurakhmanov, Khamis Gadjibabayev and Yasaf Mahmudov.  

Round 1: 

Saif closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Saif closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Saif quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Hussain connects with a left uppercut.  
Saif is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Saif hits home with a left hook.  
Saif cuts off the ring, trapping Hussain in the corner.  Saif lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Saif pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  As Hussain tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Saif dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Saif.  That has caused nasty swelling  around the right eye.  
Saif tries to land a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Hussain cuts off the ring, trapping Saif on the ropes.  Hussain pivots to the left of his opponent.  Saif hits home with a cross.

Saif gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Saif forces Hussain to back into the ropes.  Saif pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Saif closes the distance and digs in a right uppercut to Hussain's ribs.  
Hussain is on target with a left hook.  
Saif advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Saif digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Saif is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.
