Kenji Miura vs Ricky Hood

Boxing Daily Report from the Glove Shack promoted show at Kawagoe Athletic Park General Gymnasium, Kawagoe,  taking place on 02/05/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kenji Miura (10(2) - 0) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Ricky Hood(7 - 1 - 6) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Miura and Hood weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yuichi Mihara, and the three ringside judges are Hikaru Masaki, Taro Hara and Michi Amano.

Miura pivots to the side of his opponent.  Hood tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a HUGE cross.  HOOD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Hood recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Miura steps to the outside and lands an overhand left, jab and a cross to his opponents head, AND DROPS HOOD TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Hood recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Miura hits home with a stiff jab.  
Miura lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Miura lands with a solid jab.  
Miura lands a jab, overhand left and an overhand right to his opponents head.  
Miura feints a jab, and then lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Hood manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  You can sense Hood is getting frustrated in there.   He throws a low uppercut...that landed south of the border! The ref tells Hood to keep his punches above the belt.  He gives Miura time to recover.

Miura lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS HOOD TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise on shaky legs but Hood cant beat the count!  The winner by KO is Miura!
