Rob Keir vs Paul Boyle

Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, Melbourne,  taking place on 15/03/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rob Keir (1 - 0) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Paul Boyle(3 - 6) from Melbourne, Australia.  Keir weighed in at 129 pounds and 2 ounces, while Boyle weighed in at 129 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dom Clapperton, and the three ringside judges are Steven Malas, Paul Lawrie and Nathan Savas.  

Round 1: 

Keir is looking to close the distance.  Keir pivots to the side of his opponent.  Boyle attempts to land a right uppercut, but Keir sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Boyle tries to land a left hook, but Keir blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Boyle forces Keir to back into the ropes.  Keir is on target with a right hook.  
Keir steps inside and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Boyle advances into close range.  Keir tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Keir lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Keir lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Keir steps inside and connects with a left hook.  
Boyle cuts off the ring, trapping Keir on the ropes.  Keir lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Boyle lands a cross.  
Keir lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Boyle attempts to land a left uppercut, but Keir blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Keir manouvers Boyle into a corner.  Keir hits home with a right hook.  
Keir pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Keir drives a right uppercut into Boyle's ribs.  
Keir lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Keir throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the shot.  Keir holds on to his opponent.  Keir leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Keir gets on the inside and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Keir closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut to Boyle's ribs.  
Keir lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Keir pivots to the left of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Boyle throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Keir time to recover.

Boyle sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Keir finds the target with a solid jab.  
Boyle steps inside.  Keir digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Boyle sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.
