Brad Eidson vs John Waldie

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gold Coast,  taking place on 08/05/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Oceania Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Brad Eidson (11 - 1) who hails from Sydney, Australia and John Waldie(15 - 4(1)) from Auckland, New Zealand.  Both Eidson and Waldie weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fraser McNabb, and the three ringside judges are Rob Gollon, Ian Rabb and Oliver Mullane.  

Round 1: 

Eidson steps inside and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.
