Vavrinec Urbanovsky vs Desiderio Rumbo

Boxing Daily Report from the JDHawks Gym promoted show at Crazy Bull di Genova, Genoa,  taking place on 11/05/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vavrinec Urbanovsky (11(3) - 1) who hails from Bratislava, Slovakia and Desiderio Rumbo(6 - 0) from San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Both Urbanovsky and Rumbo weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gianluca Bergomi, and the three ringside judges are Alessandro Germontani, Fabiano Vendola and Marco Masoero.  

Round 1: 

Urbanovsky hits home with a solid cross.

Rumbo closes the distance and manouvers Urbanovsky onto the ropes.  Rumbo pivots to the side of his opponent.  Urbanovsky drives a right uppercut into Rumbo's body.

Rumbo voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Urbanovsky steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Urbanovsky.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
