Xabat Negrete vs Fidel Paredes

Boxing Daily Report from the Sabah Promotions promoted show at San Miguel de Tucuma Bordon, San Miguel de Tucuman,  taking place on 21/04/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Xabat Negrete (0 - 1) who hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and Fidel Paredes(0 - 0) from Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz, Argentina.  Negrete weighed in at 125 pounds and 3 ounces, while Paredes weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jair Gonzalez, and the three ringside judges are Xabat Mandes, Sierra Villas and Sancho Avella.

Paredes waits at the mid-range with a lowered guard, waiting for his opponent to throw a punch.  Negrete throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Paredes lands a right uppercut.  
Paredes pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.

Negrete is looking to close the distance.  As Paredes tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Negrete dabs at his face checking for damage.

Paredes tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.
