Harry Chindungwe vs Dylan Sterett

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Harare Muparati, Harare,  taking place on 12/04/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Harry Chindungwe (11 - 5 - 1) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Dylan Sterett(12 - 4 - 5) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Both Chindungwe and Sterett weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Connor Sadomba, and the three ringside judges are Roger Breytenbach, Joey Mbara and Jasper Nengomasha.  

Round 1: 

Sterett steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Chindungwe tries to tag Sterett on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Chindungwe connects with a cross.  
Sterett attempts to land a jab, but Chindungwe slips the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Chindungwe gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Chindungwe attempts to land a right hook, but Sterett blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Chindungwe steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Chindungwe lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Chindungwe advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Chindungwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sterett tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Sterett attempts to land a jab, but Chindungwe blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Chindungwe sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a right hook into Sterett's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sterett's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Sterett's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
