Gan Chao vs Liko Soon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Henan promoted show at Zhengzhou Rao, Zhengzhou,  taking place on 15/04/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the China Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on His TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Gan Chao (10 - 6 - 3) who hails from Kunming, China and Liko Soon(7 - 6(1) - 4) from Zhengzhou, China.  Chao weighed in at 167 pounds and 12 ounces, while Soon weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Uang Pham, and the three ringside judges are Fo-hsing Kuk, Tung Suen and Ho Shan.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Soon dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Soon.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
