Xaver Sonson vs Angel Avendano

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Misamis Oriental promoted show at Cagayan de Oro Gabat, Cagayan de Oro,  taking place on 17/04/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Xaver Sonson (14 - 2 - 1) who hails from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines and Angel Avendano(9(1) - 0 - 1) from Davao City, Philippines.  Both Sonson and Avendano weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kiki Bermejo, and the three ringside judges are Marjun Baylon, Carlos Tagamolila and Carlos Tagamolila.
