Demoritus Mona vs Ignatius Laskaris

Boxing Daily Report from the Athens Boxing Club promoted show at Eustis Mihal Gym, Athens,  taking place on 19/04/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Greece-Attica Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Demoritus Mona (4 - 4 - 5) who hails from Athens, Greece and Ignatius Laskaris(10 - 4(1) - 3) from Athens, Greece.  Both Mona and Laskaris weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tantalus Sarris, and the three ringside judges are Glaucus Drakos, Andreus Drakos and Colum Antoni.  

Round 1: 

Laskaris is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Laskaris hits home with a cross.  
Laskaris sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Laskaris throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Laskaris holds on to his opponent.  Laskaris pushes his forearm into Mona's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Laskaris.  
Mona throws a right hook, but Laskaris ties up his opponent.  Laskaris leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Laskaris's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Laskaris throws a left uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Laskaris ties up his opponent.  Laskaris leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Laskaris hits home with a cross.  
Laskaris advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  
Laskaris is on target with a cross.
