James Gebbie vs David Inness

Boxing Daily Report from the AL Promotions promoted show at Inglewood Forum, Los Angeles,  taking place on 26/04/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on HBO, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Gebbie (7(4) - 0) who hails from Syracuse, USA and David Inness(5 - 6 - 2) from Naperville, USA.  Both Gebbie and Inness weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Juarez, and the three ringside judges are John Dickie, Darryl Bruce and Sid Marcial.  

Round 1: 

Gebbie is looking to close the distance.  Gebbie sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Gebbie lands a left hook.  Gebbie ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Gebbie pushes his forearm into Inness's face.  The ref breaks Gebbie's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Inness advances into close range.  Gebbie lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Gebbie holds on to his opponent.  Gebbie pushes his forearm into Inness's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gebbie drives a stinging left hook into his opponents liver.  Gebbie ties up his opponent.  Gebbie tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Inness behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gebbie to stop fouling.
