Stuart Gorrie vs Blake Kitchings

Boxing Daily Report from the Awere Promotions promoted show at Louisville Temple, Louisville,  taking place on 02/05/2025:

Clearly Awere Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Stuart Gorrie (5 - 0) who hails from Bridgeport, USA and Blake Kitchings(10 - 9 - 4) from Fontana, USA.  Gorrie weighed in at 226 pounds And 6 ounces, while Kitchings weighed in at 243 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Roger Crombie, and the three ringside judges are Mark Malis, Michael Harkins and Mark Malis.  

Round 1: 

Gorrie pivots to the right of his opponent.  Gorrie attempts to land a jab, but Kitchings sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Gorrie connects with a left uppercut.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kitchings dabs at his face checking for damage.

Gorrie voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Kitchings throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Gorrie lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Gorrie clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Gorrie pushes his forearm into Kitchings's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kitchings's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Kitchings's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
