Ryuu Shoda vs Dai Omura

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Aichi promoted show at Shinji Sugimoto Gym, Nagoya,  taking place on 23/04/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Aichi Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ryuu Shoda (10 - 9 - 1) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Dai Omura(5 - 5 - 2) from Okazaki, Japan.  Both Shoda and Omura weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoshi Mochizuki, and the three ringside judges are Kenji Matsushima, Kazuki Tsuda and Yuji Tanaka.  

Round 1: 

Omura switches the action to the outside.  Shoda feints a jab, tricking Omura into launching a right uppercut counter.  Shoda avoids the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Shoda connects with an overhand right.  
Shoda tries to keep the action at long range.  Omura hits home with an overhand right.  
Omura is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.
