Sam Thorburn vs Tobias Bannerman

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Oregon State Fair & Expo Center Cascade Hall, Salem,  taking place on 05/05/2025:

Clearly Showtime Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Sam Thorburn (4(1) - 0) who hails from Long Beach, USA and Tobias Bannerman(4 - 1) from Los Angeles, USA.  Thorburn weighed in at 175 pounds, while Bannerman weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kian Bilbao, and the three ringside judges are Baltasar Mijares, Theo Wight and Peter Roger.  

Round 1: 

Bannerman advances into close range.  Thorburn lands a sharp left uppercut.

Thorburn connects with a nasty left uppercut.  BANNERMAN HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE ON SHAKY LEGS BUT BANNERMAN CAN'T BEAT THE COUNT!  The winner by KO is Thorburn!
