Paul Evans vs Matthew Kitchener

Boxing Daily Report from the Otu Promotions promoted show at North Las Vegas Dunmore, North Las Vegas,  taking place on 02/05/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Evans (9(4) - 0) who hails from Modesto, USA and Matthew Kitchener(3 - 1 - 1) from Columbus, USA.  Both Evans and Kitchener weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dave Farquharson, and the three ringside judges are Alastair Harle, Vincent Ovens and Danny Doctor.  

Round 1: 

Evans pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kitchener connects with a right uppercut.  
Evans lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Evans pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kitchener throws a left hook, but Evans clinches his opponent.  Kitchener pushes his forearm into Evans's face.  The referee warns Kitchener and breaks the clinch.  
Evans lands a cross to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Evans gets on the inside.  Evans pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Evans connects with a firm cross.  
Evans closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Evans cuts off the ring, trapping Kitchener in a corner.  Evans pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Evans is looking to keep his distance and finds the target with a sharp jab.

Evans tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Kitchener quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kitchener throws a left hook, but Evans holds on to his opponent.  Evans pushes his forearm into Kitchener's face.  The referee warns Evans and breaks the clinch.  
Evans lands a right hook.  
Kitchener throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Evans lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  
Evans lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Evans lands two left uppercuts followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Evans closes the distance and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Kitchener lands a left hook.  
Kitchener throws a right uppercut, but Evans clinches his opponent.  Evans leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Evans lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Kitchener sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Evans is on target with a right hook.  
Evans advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Evans hits home with a firm left hook.  
Kitchener sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kitchener throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action.  The ref sends Evans to the neutral corner.  He warns Kitchener that continued fouling will result in a point deduction.  
Evans closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Kitchener sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kitchener attempts to land a jab, but Evans slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Evans's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Kitchener's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Kitchener's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Evans lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Kitchener sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Evans lands a solid left hook.  Evans wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kitchener has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
