Tefu Zokwana vs Philippe De Beer

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Barnyard Theatre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 28/04/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Tefu Zokwana (12 - 6) who hails from Pretoria, South Africa and Philippe De Beer(11 - 2) from Mitchells Plain, South Africa.  Zokwana weighed in at 199 pounds and 12 ounces, while De Beer weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Peter Oosthuizen, and the three ringside judges are Vince Van Deventer, Thomas Kotze and Lemme Van der Linde.  

Round 1: 

De Beer advances into close range.  De Beer pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.
