Oro Barrio vs Gabriel Palomino

Boxing Daily Report from the Siampangila Promotions promoted show at Barcelona Trujillo, Barcelona,  taking place on 30/04/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Spain-Catalonia Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Oro Barrio (9(3) - 0) who hails from Barcelona, Spain and Gabriel Palomino(7 - 5) from Barcelona, Spain.  Both Barrio and Palomino weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gervasio Uriarte, and the three ringside judges are Fausto Mieras, Berto Guillermo and Juan Can.  

Round 1: 

Barrio lands a jab to the body followed by two straights to the head.  
Palomino is looking to close the distance.  Barrio lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Barrio is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a spiteful jab.  
Barrio lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Barrio feints a right hook, and then finds the target with a sharp jab.  
Barrio is looking to keep his distance and is on target with an overhand left.  
Barrio lands three consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.

Barrio is on target with a jab to Palomino's body.

Palomino closes the distance.  Palomino sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  As Barrio tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Palomino dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Barrio is looking to keep his distance.  Barrio feints a left, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Palomino's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Barrio lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Palomino manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Barrio lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Barrio lands a jab to the head, a jab to the body and a cross to the head.  
Palomino closes the distance.  Barrio sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Barrio switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Palomino closes the distance.  Barrio pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a right uppercut.  
Barrio tries to keep the action at long range and hits the target with a ramrod jab.  
Barrio sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Palomino manages to force Barrio into the red corner.  Barrio lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Palomino pivots to the left of his opponent.  Barrio lands a cross to the body, a left hook to the head and a jab to the head.  
Palomino steps inside.  Barrio lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Barrio switches the action to the outside and lands a jab to the head, a cross to the body and an overhand left to the head.  
Barrio lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Palomino gets on the inside.  Barrio pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Barrio connects with a stinging cross.  
Palomino sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Barrio lands a cross.  
Barrio switches the action to the outside and lands with a ramrod jab.  
Palomino is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent into a corner.  Barrio lands a right hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Palomino gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Palomino steps inside.  Barrio lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Palomino's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Palomino's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Barrio lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, DROPPING PALOMINO TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Barrio!
