Goker Soysert vs Volkan Demirci

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Turkey-Izmir promoted show at Izmir Shafak, Izmir,  taking place on 01/05/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Turkey-Izmir Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Goker Soysert (8 - 2) who hails from Izmir, Turkey and Volkan Demirci(14 - 7) from Izmir, Turkey.  Soysert weighed in at 147 pounds, while Demirci weighed in at 146 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ediz Ahmad, and the three ringside judges are Emin Aykut, Koray Ali and Suleiman Ozbey.  

Round 1: 

Demirci advances into close range.  Soysert hits home with a left hook.

Demirci is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Soysert pushes his forearm into Demirci's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Soysert about fouling.  
Soysert is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a cross.

Soysert tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with an overhand right.  
Demirci steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.
