Angel Velasquez vs Orlando Sanzo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Puerto Rico-Carolina promoted show at Carolina Vara, Carolina,  taking place on 08/05/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Puerto Rico-Carolina Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Puerto Rico Sports Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Angel Velasquez (15 - 1 - 1) who hails from Carolina, Puerto Rico and Orlando Sanzo(6 - 6 - 7) from Carolina, Puerto Rico.  Both Velasquez and Sanzo weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Oihane Cifuentes, and the three ringside judges are Joaquin Arena, Manny Machin and Nemesio Cabanas.  

Round 1: 

Sanzo is looking to close the distance.  Velasquez lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Velasquez has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
