Alec Bratton vs Larenzo Olmeda

Boxing Daily Report from the Ace Boxing promoted show at Cardiff City Hall, Cardiff,  taking place on 31/05/2025:

Clearly Ace Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Alec Bratton (4 - 6 - 3) who hails from Coventry, UK and Larenzo Olmeda(15 - 3) from Barcelona, Spain.  Both Bratton and Olmeda weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dale Carrick, and the three ringside judges are Clinton Birney, Terry Lyons and Joshua Gillespie.  

Round 1: 

Bratton steps to the outside.  Olmeda lands a jab.  
Bratton connects with a cross.  
Bratton is looking to close the distance.  Olmeda connects with a left hook.  
Olmeda attempts to land a left hook, but Bratton slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Olmeda gets on the inside and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Olmeda throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref ignores Bratton's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

Olmeda steps inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bratton dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Bratton steps inside.  Olmeda digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Olmeda tries to land a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Olmeda is on target with a left hook.  
Bratton lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Olmeda digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Bratton is looking to keep his distance.  Olmeda connects with an overhand right.  
Bratton is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.  
Olmeda advances into close range.  Olmeda quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Olmeda digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Bratton's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Olmeda's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Olmeda throws a right hook, but Bratton holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Bratton pushes his forearm into Olmeda's face.  The referee warns Bratton and breaks the clinch.  
Bratton sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Olmeda throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Bratton clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Bratton's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Olmeda gets on the inside.  Bratton is on target with a right uppercut.
