Ashley Birrell vs Michael Samson

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Canada-Quebec promoted show at Montreal Desailly, Montreal,  taking place on 16/05/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Canada-Quebec Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ashley Birrell (13 - 3) who hails from Gaineau, Canada and Michael Samson(6 - 10 - 1) from Montreal, Canada.  Birrell weighed in at 126 pounds, while Samson weighed in at 125 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Louis Gillespie, and the three ringside judges are Erec Adore, Brendan Aitken and Prewitt Gedeon.
