Dai Yogi vs Shinji Yokota

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Ariake Coliseum, Tokyo,  taking place on 07/06/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Dai Yogi (8(1) - 2 - 1) who hails from Kawasaki, Japan and Shinji Yokota(16 - 4 - 2) from Nagoya, Japan.  Both Yogi and Yokota weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hajime Amari, and the three ringside judges are Eiji Mizuno, Yuji Mihara and Kaede Tsuchida.
