Mal Owen vs Eddie McCalmont

Boxing Daily Report from the Elite Prizefighters promoted show at Bradlad Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 26/04/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Mal Owen (0 - 0) who hails from London, UK and Eddie McCalmont(1 - 2 - 1) from Glasgow, UK.  Both Owen and McCalmont weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Harvey McIver, and the three ringside judges are Angus Heriot, Cody Biggs and William McCorkel.

McCalmont gets on the inside.  Owen sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to McCalmont's body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Owen dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Owen lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Owen tries to step out of his opponents range.  Owen feints a jab, and then lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Owen quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  McCalmont attempts to land a jab, but Owen parries the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut.

McCalmont advances into close range.  McCalmont goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Owen time to recover.
