Jevonte Mayat vs Nicholas Sam

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, Accra,  taking place on 23/05/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viasat 1, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jevonte Mayat (15 - 2 - 2) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Nicholas Sam(7 - 7(1) - 4) from Accra, Ghana.  Both Mayat and Sam weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Noel Koranteng, and the three ringside judges are Kabonesa Kotei, James Adade and Robert Akuffo.  

Round 1:
