Mario Ripa vs Adolfo Pollini

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Italy-Piedmont promoted show at Turin Ucchielli, Turin,  taking place on 22/05/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Italy-Piedmont Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mario Ripa (12 - 4 - 2) who hails from Turin, Italy and Adolfo Pollini(6 - 7 - 3) from Turin, Italy.  Both Ripa and Pollini weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alessio Papapietro, and the three ringside judges are Tino Lamberti, Vico Buglio and Fausto Segre.  

Round 1: 

Pollini is looking to keep his distance and is on target with an overhand right.

Ripa steps inside.  Ripa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Ripa is looking to close the distance and manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Ripa drives a left uppercut into Pollini's body.  
Ripa pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a cross.

Ripa closes the distance.  As Pollini tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ripa dabs at his face checking for damage.  Ripa has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
