Daiki Kita vs Kaede Matsumoto

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Chiba promoted show at Mitsui Garden Center Kashiwa-no-ha, Kashiwa,  taking place on 25/05/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Chiba Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Daiki Kita (12 - 2) who hails from Chiba, Japan and Kaede Matsumoto(11 - 2 - 1) from Ichikawa, Japan.  Kita weighed in at 199 pounds and 9 ounces, while Matsumoto weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Goro Horie, and the three ringside judges are Akira Oshita, Jun Usui and Taro Sugawara.  

Round 1: 

Matsumoto switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.
