Davie Johnston vs Dave Corcoran

Boxing Daily Report from the Hennessy Boxing promoted show at Geelong Baseball Centre, Geelong,  taking place on 14/06/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SBS1, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Davie Johnston (9 - 4 - 1) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Dave Corcoran(11 - 7) from Adelaide, Australia.  Both Johnston and Corcoran weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alastair Mun, and the three ringside judges are Obaid Kamali, Bruce Munhall and James Christou.  

Round 1: 

Johnston tries to step out of his opponents range.  Johnston feints a jab, fooling Corcoran into throwing a right hook counter.  Johnston springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.
