Obaid Akbar vs Haaris Islam

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Federal Territory promoted show at Kuala Lumpur Sattar, Kuala Lumpur,  taking place on 26/05/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Malaysia-Federal Territory Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV3, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Obaid Akbar (12(3) - 2) who hails from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Haaris Islam(9 - 8 - 2) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Both Akbar and Islam weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rehan Azam, and the three ringside judges are Tariq Ahmed, Zuffur Haq and Azam Asmar.  

Round 1: 

Akbar gets on the inside.  Akbar digs in a left hook to Islam's body.  Akbar clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Akbar pushes his forearm into Islam's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Akbar to stop fouling.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together! The ref takes a good look at Islam's eyes.  The ref is waving the fight off...he doesnt think Islam is fit to continue!  The winner by TKO is Akbar!
