Jose Nepomuceno vs Wayne Graham

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Gold Gym, Brisbane,  taking place on 07/06/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jose Nepomuceno (6 - 0) who hails from Havana, Cuba and Wayne Graham(8 - 5) from Adelaide, Australia.  Both Nepomuceno and Graham weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Taggert, and the three ringside judges are Dave Antoni, John Taggart and Neil McAllaster.  

Round 1: 

Nepomuceno tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross.  
Graham quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nepomuceno connects with a right uppercut.  
Graham attempts to land a right uppercut, but Nepomuceno dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Graham dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Graham.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Graham closes the distance.  Nepomuceno drives a left hook into Graham's body.
