Kook-young Yi vs Heung-Min Choung

Boxing Daily Report from the Badu Promotions promoted show at Badu Gym, Cheongju,  taking place on 31/05/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Korea-North Chungcheong Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports Korea, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kook-young Yi (10 - 4) who hails from Cheongju, South Korea and Heung-Min Choung(15(2) - 1) from Chungju, South Korea.  Yi weighed in at 160 pounds, while Choung weighed in at 159 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Heung-Min Rhee, and the three ringside judges are Dong-won Koo, Yong-jae Jong and Chan-dong Whang.  

Round 1: 

Choung lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.
