Juan Gutierrez vs Jose Montiel

Boxing Daily Report from the Sahaghyan Promotions promoted show at Madrid Calvo, Madrid,  taking place on 31/05/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Spain-Comunidad de Madrid Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Marca TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Juan Gutierrez (14 - 1) who hails from Madrid, Spain and Jose Montiel(12 - 5 - 1) from Madrid, Spain.  Gutierrez weighed in at 147 pounds, while Montiel weighed in at 147 pounds and 9 ounces.    As Montiel came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is Ricardo Tio, and the three ringside judges are Pancho Nova, Quico Galvez and Elias Calistro.
