Lambert Affeldt vs Gerard Peil

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Switzerland-East promoted show at Harimann Aeschliman Gym, Bern,  taking place on 31/05/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Switzerland-East Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lambert Affeldt (1 - 1 - 2) who hails from Zurich, Switzerland and Gerard Peil(3 - 4 - 1) from Zurich, Switzerland.  Both Affeldt and Peil weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luduvico Amend, and the three ringside judges are Roland Kutzler, Winfield Gera and Koltin Strevel.  

Round 1: 

Affeldt feints a cross, and then connects with a left hook.  
Affeldt tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Peil closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Affeldt tries to keep the action at long range.  Peil lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Peil is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Peil steps inside.  Peil pivots from in front of his opponent.  Peil lands a left hook.  Peil ties up his opponent.  Peil is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Peil digs in a right hook to Affeldt's body.  Peil clinches his opponent.  Peil tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Affeldt behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Peil.  
Peil hits home with a right uppercut.  Peil clinches his opponent.  Peil pushes his forearm into Affeldt's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Peil to stop fouling.  
Affeldt tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.

Peil cuts off the ring, trapping Affeldt on the ropes.  Peil is on target with a right uppercut.
