Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Wellington promoted show at Stuart Stealey Gym, Wellington,  taking place on 01/06/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Wellington Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mel Christopher (13 - 1 - 1) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Kyle Breckon(4 - 2 - 2) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Christopher and Breckon weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Dew, and the three ringside judges are Denton Rattray, Mason Bethel and Geoff Symington.  

Round 1: 

Christopher advances into close range.  Breckon throws a right hook, but Christopher ties up his opponent.  Christopher pushes his forearm into Breckon's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Christopher about fouling.
