Roman Montijo vs Rodrigo Acosta

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Marcylio Dias community square, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 02/06/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Roman Montijo (1 - 0) who hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Rodrigo Acosta(4 - 7 - 4) from Curitiba, Brazil.  Both Montijo and Acosta weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Loredo Souto, and the three ringside judges are Xaverius Reposa, Jair Danca and Cortez Maio.  

Round 1: 

Montijo lands with a stinging jab.  
Acosta switches the action to the outside.  Montijo throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
