John Mahachi vs Paul Van der Knaap

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Morris Depot Police Camp, Harare,  taking place on 16/06/2025:

Clearly African Fusion have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Mahachi (10 - 6 - 2) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Paul Van der Knaap(12 - 4(1)) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Mahachi weighed in at 259 pounds And 14 ounces, while Van der Knaap weighed in at 230 pounds And 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dillon Mutasa, and the three ringside judges are Sam Rodger, Steven Joubert and James Mupariwa.
