Justin Jernigan vs John Vasconcelos

Boxing Daily Report from the Ace Boxing promoted show at Houston Athletic Fencing Center, Houston,  taking place on 09/06/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Justin Jernigan (10 - 5 - 3) who hails from Mesa, USA and John Vasconcelos(6 - 7 - 3) from Phoenix, USA.  Jernigan weighed in at 108 pounds, while Vasconcelos weighed in at 107 pounds and 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ian Hesson, and the three ringside judges are Faisal Rasul, Mike Ruane and David Smyth.  

Round 1: 

Jernigan finds the target with a jab.  
Vasconcelos gets on the inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Jernigan sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Jernigan connects with a left hook.
